Monthly Review

July 30, 2011

We've been meeting at the new location for 7 months now, how do you like it? Previously there were 2 monthly meeetings, one for business and one for play. This year it was switched up with 1 all encompassing night the first Thursday of each month. Guild Business, Guest Speakers, Knit-a-Longs and more. See our schedule for the year below.

December 1, All members are invited to attend our annual Holiday Party. You can look forward to great food, prizes, and the camaraderie of your fellow knitters. Hostesses (with the mostest) Diane Peterson and Jo Morrison have graciously volunteered to once again organize the dinner. If you haven't heard already, last year's party was fabulous!

November 3, We will show you how to knit, felt, and assemble a felted holiday garland that will be perfect for your tree or mantel. This will be an excellent project for using up scraps of yarn, so never throw anything away!

October 13-16, Knitting Regreat @ Camp Richardson: All members are invited to attend the Annual Retreat. Don't miss the fun at the Third Annual Knitting Retreat at Camp Richardson at Lake Tahoe. Lizette Hopkins and Doris Keller are this year's organizers, and they will provide more details in the coming months. The fee to attend is only $25. Please book your room or cabin as soon as possible.

October 6th, Join us for an informative talk on the Master Knitting Program© offered by The Knitting Guild Association, of which we are a member. Our speaker will tell us all about the benefits of participating in this very rewarding experience.

September 1, Vendor Night is a chance for you, our knitting entrepreneurs, to set up a table with your patterns, yarns, gadgets, and accessories. It's our own special craft fair.

August 4, Lace with Lew: Expert lace knitter Lew Deyong will be here to show us how to get started knitting lace. Knitted lace is an ancient, noble art. Learn more about it. See Lace Knitters Guild for more information.
